Real-time monitoring is a system of regular observations, expert assessments and forecasts of changes on the Earth's surface on a 24/7 basis that is performed based on satellite imagery of the Earth. The use of real-time monitoring is associated with forecasting and tracking any natural and anthropogenic emergencies, and is aimed at solving the problems of various economic sectors (agriculture, forestry, transport and equipment, oil and gas, construction, etc.).
The existing real-time monitoring system SCANEX allows for continuous receipt of requested information about the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of natural and anthropogenic objects, processes, and phenomena anywhere in Russia and worldwide. It may use the means of planned and emergency optical and radar surveys, providing for a wide range of solutions in near real-time mode.
Based on information received from the satellites, SCANEX experts create themed products, provide real-time monitoring services, and perform expert examination targeted at the challenges of both the public sector and private businesses.
Advantages of the SCANEX real-time monitoring system:
- Objective and relevant information on the territory of Russia and adjacent territories obtained by the company’s own network of receiving stations with the most productive remote sensing systems;
- High efficiency: the average time from the shot to receipt of the finished product by the user via web services and other media channels is 30-60 minutes;
- Integration of data from radar and optical satellites of the world’s leading ERS operators contributes to the implementation of monitoring tasks with a high recording frequency, regardless of the weather conditions or time of day.
