RSS Holding Purchased ScanEx Image Processor® Software
Russia aims to promote goods and services produced in Russia, including in remote sensing field as much as possible over the next few years. Numerous satellites have already been launched creating a considerable network that is able to fully provide Russian consumers and foreign customers with optical, radar images and meteorological data. Professional software is required to process said imagery data. Russian Space Systems (RSS) is one of the leaders in the space system engineering industry. RSS has been developing, manufacturing, testing, supplying and operating on-board and ground-based equipment and information systems for 75 years. Today the company has chosen ScanEx Image Processor® software developed by SCANEX Group for the post-processing purposes.
«We thank our long-standing partners, Russian Space Systems, for their trust. Remote sensing technologies in Russia are of international standard. We are confident that our joint efforts will contribute to significant progress in the industry and implementation of unmatched field-related projects. We are always open to all potential customers and are ready to key our products and services to the specific customer's needs», noted Valery Barinberg, SCANEX Deputy CEO.
The ScanEx Image Processor® software was developed in 2004 (v. 5.3 is currently used). SIP is a multipurpose system intended for photogrammetric and thematic processing of satellite imagery data. It provides the entire set of tools required for processing data, namely, creating tone-balanced mosaics, improving spatial resolution, geometric correction and orthotransformation, image filtering, haze removal, detecting changes on multi-temporal images, and much more. High quality software is in demand worldwide; it is supplied to dozens of countries.
SCANEX have sold thousands of licenses over the years and trained hundreds of specialists of different industries to work with SIP in the SCANEX educational center. You may learn more on ScanEx Image Processor® here. The software is listed in the Unified Register of Russian Software (order of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media No 653 of December 14, 2016, registered on December 15, 2016, software registration number is 2390, see the link: https://reestr.minsvyaz.ru/reestr/96553). SIP is selected by ALROSA, Roslesinforg, Rosneft Scientific and Technical Centre,
